Sven Hughes is the founder of two strategic communication agencies and an advocate for the use of soft power to create behavioral change.
He has vast experience in the military sector, formerly serving as a reserve soldier within the UK Special Forces. Hughes’ strategic communications companies Verbalisation and Global Influence have developed intervention campaigns for prime ministers, presidents, militaries, and commercial clients in over 120 countries. He is also credited with producing “the most successful counter-radicalisation campaign in history” (with a 2bn media reach) for the FATE charity network (Families Against Terrorism and Extremism). He has been featured in media outlets including the Evening Standard and on BBC London Radio and is the recipient of numerous marketing and film awards including a Fellowship of the The Royal Society of Arts.
He recently published Verbalisation: The Power of Words to Drive Change, his first book on strategic communications.
