John-Paul Corcoran - Before joining Her Majesty's Government, John-Paul read English at Christ's College, Cambridge. Upon graduating, John-Paul studied Law and completed the UK Solicitor's course, specialising in Criminal Law.
In 2013 he joined the UK Civil Service as a policy official at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), specialising in Ceremonial events on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
In 2014 John-Paul joined the Private Office of the DCMS Permanent Under Secretary and Director General, where he oversaw the delivery of the Departmental strategic plan. In late 2016 John-Paul became the Private Secretary to the Minister for Heritage, Sport and Tourism.
John-Paul is currently the Head of Open Source Intelligence at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. As a member of the wider Open Source Unit, led by Graham Nelson, John-Paul is working to define UK Legal and Public policy relating to the collection and analysis of OSINT, and to deliver bespoke FCO capabilities in in a range of priority Foreign Policy areas
